Stephanie Zi Yi Yang leads an active international career as a concert pianist, educator, and collaborator. Highly praised by the audience and press as a pianist combining a sensitive musical personality with an exquisite touch and impressive virtuosity.

Yang currently resides in New York City and works closely with the Van Cliburn medalist Barry Snyder and one of today's most revered recitalists Richard Goode, after receiving her Artist Diploma from The Juilliard School. Performing around New York City, Yang has been a resident artist at venues including Carnegie’s Weill Recital Hall, Columbia University, Steinway Hall, Bohemian National Hall and National Sawdust. In 2023, Yang has become a Young Artist Member of the World Piano Teachers Association (WPTA).

As a piano instructor, Yang committed to creating a warm and nurturing environment for students of all ages, while simultaneously providing a well-rounded musical and arts education. She has given masterclasses in China, Hong Kong, and Macau, and has prepared students for both large and small concert settings as well as national music examinations and competitions.

Beginning piano at the age of four, Yang gave her solo debut at Xinghai concert hall in Guangzhou, China, when she was eight years old. In 2009, Yang started her education at Interlochen Arts Academy with full scholarship where she studied under Dr. TJ Lymenstull. At the age of seventeen, Yang was honored to be invited to perform at the Kennedy Center. In the same year, she also performed with the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra at Eastern Music Festival. After successfully winning an award at the David D. Dubois Piano competition, Yang received substantial scholarship for Bachelor of Music at the Eastman School of Music under the tutelage of Barry Snyder, and Master of Music at Mannes School of Music under both Pavlina Dokovska and Vladimir Valjarevic. Yang has received master classes and studied privately, as well as receiving chamber coachings from some of the best musicians in the world such as András Schiff, Vadym Kholodenko, Lang Lang, Richard Goode, Natalya Antonova, Nelita True, Douglas Humpherys, the Ying quartet, etc. Meanwhile, Yang is known for concertizing around the world, including countries such as Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, China, Hong Kong, Macau, United States and Canada.
